Membership Details
As a professional body GLI recognizes three (3) classes of membership association:
Professional Members
Criteria
- Formal Tertiary level Qualifications and/or Professional Training and/or Experience
- Proven Competence and Proficiency in a given field
- Leadership Positioning and/or Position of Responsibility
Responsibilities
- Manifest a lifestyle consistent with the character of the GLI
- Be committed to exemplifying the principles defined in the GLI
- Understand and be committed to the philosophy, aims, objectives and values of GLI
- Submit to the GLI leadership, both local and global, as it pertains to matters affecting GLI.
- Regularly attend meetings (at least 80%) and function as a fully integrated member of the GLI community by participating in planned events, programs and activities.
- Actively contribute on the GLI Community Sites
- Provide support to the GLI by voluntarily giving time, finances, and other resources as necessary.
Affiliates
Affiliates are those persons who have recognized the mandate of GLI and wish to deliberately partner with the GLI. Such persons are not members, but are recognized and official partners of the GLI, and will be expected to submit to the undergirding values upon which GLI is built. All Affiliates must undergo an orientation period to acquaint themselves with the values and operations of the GLI. Affiliation can be terminated at any time by either party.
Responsibilities
- Will demonstrate evidence of good moral and ethical character.
- Must recognize and accept as inviolable the under girding values and principles upon which the GLI is founded and operates.
- Must undergo the required orientation that will allow accurate and meaningful functioning within the group.
- Have an understanding of the philosophy, aims, objectives and values of the GLI and be committed to upholding them.
- Submit to the GLI leadership, both local and global, as it pertains to matters affecting GLI.
- Must regularly attend meetings and function as a part of the GLI community by involvement in planned events, programs and activities.
- Actively contribute to the GLI Community Sites
- Provide support to the GLI by voluntarily giving of their time, finances, and other resources as necessary.
Student MembersStudent members will constitute the GLI Campus groups. Such persons will not be expected to pay membership dues.

- Currently undergoing tertiary level training
- Demonstrated lifestyle consistent with standards and values of GLI
- Demonstrated leadership potential
