GLI Structure / Divisions
GLI is comprised of three operating divisions:
- Professional Division
- Campus Division
- Global Thought Factory
Philosophy of BuildingGLI is envisioned as a professional organization consisting of the three operational divisions as described above. The Student Division is the expression of GLI among the global population of tertiary-level students. Student members are considered emerging professionals within the GLI community. While the Campus Division is operationally unique and distinct, it functions seamlessly within the wider corporate GLI organization. It receives direction, leadership and support primarily from among the Professional ranks. Likewise, the Global Thought Factory is an operating division whose contributors emerge from the wider GLI body.
GLI ProfessionalGLI Professional is a legally-registered professional body and community of practicing professionals who are joined together based upon a shared platform of values and principles. Members of GLI Professional are expected to be persons of the highest moral caliber committed to standards of excellence. The operating objectives include:
- To gather into community professionals (both locally and globally) thereby providing a forum for the sharing of resource and support
- To afford members access to professional and personal training, thereby equipping them to function more effectively within their workplaces
- To strategically promote values-based leadership as a key tool for effecting change in the wider society
- To forge relationships with university communities to actively mentor future generations of leaders resident therein.
GLI CampusGLI Campus is the seedbed for the entire GLI Network. University formation is an important period of personal definition and development. It substantially influences acquisition of thought, values and operating systems that will shape the future activity of each student. GLI Campus seeks to capture the imagination of young, future leaders at this crucial stage of their development; then birth and cultivate appropriate personal/lifestyle philosophies and operating codes that will allow them to excel within their various spheres of endeavor and influence. Members are considered “students members” of GLI Professional. The broad operating objectives of GLI Campus include:
- To gather into community university students (both locally and globally) thereby providing a forum for the sharing of resource and support
- To provide members with access to teaching, training and understanding that is complimentary to their academic study and necessary to build lives based upon integrity and service.
- To positively impact the development of the wider campus community by the hosting of events and the dissemination of perspectives consistent with the values and philosophy of GLI
- To serve as a resource pool for GLI activity across the wider network
Global Thought FactoryThe Global Thought Factory is a think-tank within the wider operations of GLI developed to conduct research and articulate philosophies on nation-building. A values-based paradigm would be the foundation and driver of all inquiry.
